SSC-Maquet Estoc

The SSC-Maquet Estoc
Seen across Orion’s Arm on peeling posters and deep in the content pits of omninet streaming platforms, the Estoc was once the poster child for the up-and-coming Maquet design firm.
After a swift SSC buyout, the frame was reworked to be branded as a "musketeer" style mech. Balancing mid-range firepower with melee superiority, the Estoc is a blend of disciplines and half-stolen half-borrowed technology.
The ad campaign ranged from omninet ads to model kits the campaign was crowned by a feature film about a fictionalized test pilot for the Estoc. As well as a dramatized version of it’s development and use against space pirates. It was an attempt by a young ad executive to not only launch a new flagship frame for military use, but to turn mech manufacturing into multimedia entertainment.
The Estoc wields a Particle Foil, a safer but less effective "variant" of Harrison Armory's Torch, and a Particle Rifle, a bolt-action rifle firing compressed plasma shots. It's Autonomous Attack/Defense Units help give it the edge in duels.
Unusual for most Licenses, the Estoc also comes with a custom piece of Pilot Gear: the Particle Microfoil. A small energy sword that can only maintain burn for a few seconds. It was included with the License as a marketing stunt, and has very little tactical value.
Not a particularly durable or powerful frame, the Estoc is best suited to pilots who value precision and speed over pure firepower.
